According to previous leaks, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra should be officially presented on February 25th. Now the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station from the Chinese micro-blogging service Weibo has spoken out with a new date, pictures and technical data. According to DCS, the world premiere is planned slightly earlier – for February 22nd.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440p, which is often referred to as 2K resolution in China. The refresh rate is 120 Hz and the local peak brightness is 3,000 nits. HDR10+ support is on board, as is a fingerprint sensor under the display. Of course, the fastest chipset currently available sits at the helm – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from Qualcomm. In Europe you also 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, in some markets there will also be a 1 TB model.

On the back of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra you can see the large camera module with Leica branding, which is already familiar from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. In addition to the flash and laser autofocus, it also houses four 50 megapixel cameras. The main camera has a 1-inch sensor with an f/1.63 aperture. The ultra-wide-angle camera has a focal length of 12 mm with an aperture of f/1.8 and the periscope telephoto lens has a focal length of 120 mm. The latter features a bright f/2.5 aperture.

In addition, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra shoots videos at 8K at 24fps and 4K at up to 60fps. 1080p slow-motion videos are reportedly possible at up to 1,920 frames per second. A 32 megapixel front camera that can record 4K videos is responsible for selfies and video calls.

The battery capacity increases slightly to 5,300 mAh battery, although charging speeds with 90 watt wired and 50 watt wireless remain exactly the same. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C and a dual SIM slot. The Xiaomi phone is 9.2mm thick, weighs 220g and is IP68 dust and waterproof.

Color options include white and black with a vegan leather back and an aluminum frame. Just like the Apple iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, there is also a version with a titanium frame. However, it remains to be seen whether this will be available in all markets. The 16/512GB model of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to cost €1,499 ($1,615/INR 134,055) in Europe.
