The Samsung Galaxy A53, Galaxy S23, Z Flip3, Z Flip5, Z Fold3 and Z Fold5 are currently receiving the February software update with the latest security patches.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is receiving the firmware update with the version number A536USQS9DXA9. However, the update is currently only being rolled out in the USA, both for devices with and without carrer lock. There are already initial reports of success for the international model of the Samsung smartphone, too.

Samsung Galaxy S23

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is receiving the security update with the version number S91xUSQS2BXAD, but so far only for carrier locked devices in the US. Nevertheless, all three versions – the Galaxy S23 as well as the S23+ and the S23 Ultra already receive the new firmware. The update is currently available for download on the Xfinity Mobile and Comcast networks. SIM-lock-free versions of the smartphones should also display the update shortly. The new firmware closes 72 security vulnerabilities, includes the latest security patch from February 2024 and is relatively small at 400 MB.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 with with carrier lock will receive the firmware F711USQS6HXAF in the USA on the T-Mobile and Metro PCS networks. Devices without a SIM lock will receive the firmware update with the designation F711U1UES6HXAC. Z Fold3 models from Comcast and Xfinity Mobile will receive the software labeled F926USQS5HXAC instead. Both firmware updates are relatively small and also contain the February 2024 security patch.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 are also invited to the party and receive the update named F731USQS2BXAD. Eligible are free models and devices in the T-Mobile and Metro PCS networks in the USA. Here, too, the February 2024 security update closes 72 security vulnerabilities and, as usual, anyone who does not yet see the update on their Galaxy phone can also check for it manually. To do this, simply go to Software update in the settings, start the manual search and then tap on “Download and install”.
