Xiaomi 14 Ultra: New leak indicates few changes
In a new tweet, tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the most important technical data of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra shortly before its market launch. However, the specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi top cell phone sound pretty familiar. This applies to the 6.73-inch LTPO OLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz as well as the camera setup with Leica optics and the 90W fast charging function.
According to the tip, we can also expect a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Android 14 with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS interface. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a 50 megapixel main camera with a 1-inch sensor and variable aperture, a 50 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and two 50 megapixel telephoto lenses with 3.2x and 5x magnification. The battery is set to grow slightly to 5,300 mAh, but will continue to charge at 90 watts. Unsurprisingly, the next Ultra is also protected against water and dust in accordance with IP68.
But apart from the hard facts, there are more points about the camera hardware. The resolutions are identical and the main sensor is still 1 inch in size. But there are also new Leica optics and larger apertures for higher light intensity.
Earlier rumors indicated that a Sony LYT-900 sensor together with a variable aperture of f/1.6 would power the main camera. The 5x periscope telephoto lens has a bright f/2.5 aperture instead of the old f/3.0 aperture, and the slightly larger battery capacity is certainly not inconvenient either. In addition, a camera kit with an external battery is apparently planned.
