Realme Note 50 with 90 Hz display for $65 unveiled
Realme opens a new chapter in its smartphone department with its Note series. Anyone who now thinks of Samsung’s former Note smartphones with premium hardware will probably be disappointed. The Realme Note 50, the first device in the new series, is the exact opposite and will cost just PHP 3,600 (€59/$65) in its first market, the Philippines. Realme wants to expand in this segment and will bring two more Realme Note phones onto the market in 2024.
The Realme Note 50 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The panel manages a peak brightness of 560 nits and also has a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. You also get a 5-megapixel front camera in a waterdrop notch.
The Realme Note 50 features a Unisoc T612 chipset in combination with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. On the back we have a 13 megapixel main camera and a 2 megapixel auxiliary sensor. The software side is covered by Realme UI T Edition based on Android 13, while the battery has 5,000 mAh and charges with a maximum of 10 watts. The Note 50 also features IP54 dust and water protection, a headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Realme Note 50 is available in Sky Blue and Midnight Black. Realme has not yet provided any information on international pricing and availability. However, we can assume that other markets will follow in the next few weeks.
