Apple Vision Pro headset: Pre-orders start on January 19th
The Apple Vision Pro headset is finally about to launch. The first market is of course the USA. You can pre-order the mixed reality goggles there from Friday, January 19th via the Apple online store. Shipping will begin exactly two weeks later, on Friday, February 2nd.
Starting February 2nd, the Apple Vision Pro headset will also be sold in local Apple Stores in the US. It looks like Apple will initially only offer the 256GB model, but the company hinted that there will be other models later. Apple’s press release states that prices start at $3,499 (€3,195) with 256GB of storage.
In addition to the Apple Vision Pro, the scope of delivery also includes a solo knit band and a dual loop band. The package also includes a Light Seal and two different Light Seal cushions as well as a polishing cloth, a battery, a USB-C cable and a USB-C adapter.
Apple has also detailed the lens attachments to correct poor vision. The Zeiss optical inserts will be available with prescription or as reading glasses and will magnetically attach to the Vision Pro. The reading inserts cost $99 (€90), while the prescription lenses are priced at $149 (€136). Apple will eventually expand the headset’s availability to other countries. But for the time being, you can only buy it in the United States.
