Xiaomi 13T Pro: Android 14 update with HyperOS is here
Xiaomi’s new Android interface HyperOS was first presented in October by company boss Lei Jun himself. In addition to Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco cell phones, the successor to MIUI will also power the group’s electric cars in the future, especially the new Xiaomi SU7. Just yesterday, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series launched with HyperOS in Europe. And today the first inventory update comes straight away: The Xiaomi 13T Pro is now showing the firmware update in Europe. The download is wireless and has a size of 5.8 GB, so you should make sure you have enough storage space.
Once the installation is complete, the Xiaomi 13T Pro will show the operating system version 1.0.3.0.UMLEUXM. Of course, HyperOS is already based on Android 14, and the security patch from December 1, 2023 is also included. The changelog is quite extensive, as you can see from the screenshots above. From a purely visual perspective, you shouldn’t expect too much – HyperOS would easily pass for MIUI 15 in terms of design.
According to the changelog, HyperOS brings optimized performance for every device. The Xiaomi 13T Pro’s lock screen is fully customizable with effects and themes after the update. Some home screen icons were also updated. The multi-window interface has also been revised. And of course, all of Google’s background improvements should be included too.
The rollout will likely occur in several waves. Therefore, even with a European Xiaomi 13T Pro (MIUI version number contains “EU”), it may still take a few days until the update notification appears. But it should only be a matter of a few days at most. By the way, this is neither a beta nor a “stable beta” or a limited version for beta testers. HyperOS is freely available and accessible to all users.
