Rumor: Apple Vision Pro is coming in the last week of January
According to a new, somewhat windy rumor from China, the Apple Vision Pro headset will launch in the last week of January. The information comes from Wall Street Insights, a Chinese investor news platform with an unproven track record on Apple rumors. The website claims to have received exclusive information suggesting that the Vision Pro will launch in the US on January 27th.
The report clearly points to a launch date on a Saturday in the United States. But it is possible that the website actually refers to January 27th in China. That would be Friday, January 26th in the US due to the time difference. That would be a much more likely date for the launch of the Vision Pro headset.
However, Apple has rarely presented one of its hardware products on a Saturday. It is therefore very unlikely that the launch of the Apple Vision Pro headset will bel on this date. The company typically launches its products on weekdays, i.e. during normal business hours. This guarantees comprehensive media coverage and thus the maximum impact on the stock market. Friday, January 26th could therefore be a much better fit, as Apple mainly chooses Fridays to launch its new devices.
Apple itself has so far only revealed that the Vision Pro headset will come onto the market “at the beginning” of the year. There is no specific time frame for pre-orders nor for the official launch of the product. The normally very well-informed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently said that he expects the Vision Pro to launch in late January or early February. Today’s report from China practically agrees with this. The well-known Apple journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, on the other hand, is very likely to expect a market launch in February.
