Honor X50 Pro with 108 MP camera and SD 8+ Gen 1 is here
Honor officially launched the X50 Pro in China today. The phone has a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1,200 x 2,652 pixels, 120 Hz, 1,920 Hz PWM dimming and 10-bit color support as well as an integrated fingerprint sensor. However, since it’s not an LTPO panel, it only switches between 60 and 120 Hz – there are no further steps. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The chip is a bit old, but still offers more than enough performance for everyday use.
On the back there is a 108 megapixel main camera with an f/1.75 aperture and a 1/1.67 inch sensor. Interestingly, these are exactly the same specs as the Tecno Spark 20 Pro+, which also came onto the market today. There’s also a mostly useless 2-megapixel depth sensor on the other side of the large camera ring.
The words “MATRIX AI VISION CAMERA” can be read in the empty middle of the camera island. There are also several LED flashes on the top. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is located in a central punch hole in the display and has a resolution of 8 megapixels with an f/2.0 aperture. The Honor X50 Pro also has a fairly large 5,800 mAh battery that charges at 35 watts via cable.
The Honor X50 Pro still runs the no longer quite up-to-date Android 13 with the MagicOS 7.2 interface. There are two color options – black and green, both of which go for CNY 2,799 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This currently corresponds to around 395 US dollars or 357 euros. Honor has yet to confirm international availability.
