vivo today introduced the V30 Lite as the first smartphone in its new V30 series. It is also the first V series smartphone to have an even number. Previous smartphones had odd numbers like V29, V27, V25, etc.

The vivo V30 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset and has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For the operating system, vivo has chosen Android 13 with its own FuntouchOS interface, also in version 13. And unfortunately there is no information yet as to when Android 14 will arrive. Or how many operating system upgrades there will be.

In total, the vivo V30 Lite has three cameras on the back: a 64 megapixel wide camera with OIS, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide cam and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. There is also a circular flash called Aura Light. The selfie camera on the front is almost the most spectacular imaging chip on board, as it has a whopping 50 megapixel resolution.

The affordable smartphone is based on a 6.67-inch FullHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,150 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel also houses the fingerprint sensor. The battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh and charges with 44 watts. Other highlights of the vivo phone include an IP54 rating, NFC and 5G connectivity.

The vivo V30 Lite is 7.69mm thin, weighs 190g and is available in two colors – Black Forest and Rose Gold. It launched in Mexico at a price of MXN 8,999 (€480/$530/INR 44,210), but other markets are expected to follow soon.
