Samsung Galaxy M15 with large battery popped up

While the Galaxy A15 has a 5,000 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy M15 is rumored to go one step further.

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A15 in Vietnam earlier this month. Apparently it’s now the turn of the Samsung Galaxy M15, as usual. As is usual with the M series, it once again appears to be a renamed A model. However, there is a literally big, very welcome difference.

Because while the Galaxy A15 has a 5,000 mAh battery in both the 4G version and the 5G variant, the Samsung Galaxy M15 is rumored to go one step further. The battery capacity should be no less than 6,000 mAh. That’s 20% more than the A15, which should lead to runtimes of around two days on one charge.

Unfortunately, the leak does not reveal any further technical data for the Samsung Galaxy M15. But it wouldn’t be a big surprise if it’s a rebranded A15 in every other respect. If this theory is correct, we can expect a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an Infinity U notch. The refresh rate is 90 Hz and the maximum brightness reaches up to 800 nits.

The Samsung Galaxy M15 could be powered by a Helio G99 chipset from MediaTek with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. Latter could also be expandable via a microSD card slot. If there is also a 5G model of the Samsung smartphone, a Dimensity 6100+ processor with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage would be on the short list.

On the back, the Samsung Galaxy A15 models have a 50 megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/1.8. There is also a 5 megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2 megapixel macro camera. Why Samsung maintains almost identical M and A series is traditionally the secret of the Koreans. Since the leaks about the Galaxy M15 are slowly gaining momentum, at least the launch date should not remain a mystery for much longer.
