According to the latest report from Korean news outlet TheElec, Samsung plans to sell its Galaxy S24 trio at the same prices as its predecessors, the Galaxy S23 series. Additionally, a separate report appears to confirm the emergency satellite SMS feature for the S24 series. There have been rumors about satellite communication a few times now. The latest leaked screenshot should most likely dispel any remaining doubts. It clearly states that the unnamed Galaxy S24 phone supports emergency SMS over a satellite connection. Just like the latest iPhones and some Huawei phones.

According to the report, all Samsung Galaxy S24 models will support the new emergency satellite SMS feature, regardless of the chipset. The Korean tech giant also meets 3GPP standards for such a connection with its upcoming flagship phones. However, it remains to be seen whether this will be available for all markets from the start.

Samsung is reportedly not planning any changes to the pricing structure. This is because the company believes it can increase sales in a market that continues to recover after Corona. At the same time, it wants to become more competitive with the Galaxy S24 smartphones offering more features at the same or lower price than its competitors.

The aim is to achieve 10% more sales than in the previous year by delivering a total of 35 million units. 15.9 million (45%) of these are for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, 13.5 million (38%) for the Galaxy S24 and 5.8 million (16%) for the S24 Plus. Samsung can also maintain its prices by using its own Exynos 2400 chipset to power the base and Plus models in some markets. However, the top model Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to come onto the market worldwide with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: 10x periscope remains on board, 5x zoom is added

Additionally, a new report suggests that Samsung is keeping the 10x zoom camera for the Galaxy S24 Ultra after all. Accordingly, the S24 Ultra gets a 200 megapixel wide camera, the well-known 12 megapixel ultra-wide, a 50 megapixel 5x periscope and the previous 10 megapixel 10x periscope zoom. Apart from the new 50 megapixel 5x camera, all other lenses are likely to be largely identical to the current Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Samsung will supply the 200 megapixel sensor, while Namuga and Sunny Optical will share the 12 megapixel ultrawide camera. The 10x and 5x cameras of the Galaxy cell phone are handled by Sunny Optical and Samsung themselves. According to the report, the 12 megapixel front camera comes from Namuga and MCNEX.
