vivo Watch 3 with AMOLED display and BlueOS unveiled
In addition to the X100 series, the vivo Watch 3 also saw the light of day today with the new, in-house operating system BlueOS. The smartwatch only comes in one size, but in two designs and colors as well as two strap styles and materials. The watch case itself is 46.1mm wide and weighs 36g. It has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 466 x 466 pixels and always-on functionality.
The watch case itself is round and the glass on top is curved and rimless. The vivo Watch 3 features a rotating stainless steel crown that makes it easy to navigate the interface and doubles as a button. There is a second button underneath.
The Watch 3 runs vivo’s own BlueOS with app support and an integrated app store. The Jovi assistant from vivo is on board as well as various health and fitness functions. The smartwatch uses the Star Ring health sensor for 8-channel heart rate measurement and 16-channel blood oxygen measurement. Of course there is also sleep tracking and a personal running trainer.
The battery has a capacity of 505 mAh, which is enough for up to 16 days without Bluetooth and for up to 8 days including notifications. However, if you use the watch more intensively, the battery life can easily be reduced to 3 days or less.
The vivo Watch 3 is available as a Bluetooth-only version and an eSIM version. The Bluetooth model with silicone strap costs CNY 1,099 (€140/$151), while the Bluetooth model with leather strap costs CNY 1,199 (€155/$164). Including the eSIM, you pay CNY 1,299 (€167/$178) with a silicone strap and CNY 1,399 (€182/$192) with a leather strap.
