iOS 26: 5 new features in the Wallet app

iOS 26 adds several features to the iPhone’s built-in Wallet app, including a new way to track your online purchases, an update to boarding passes, and much more. We’ve listed all the new features in the Wallet app below.

Order Tracking
The iOS 26 Wallet app features improved order tracking, allowing you to now track all your purchases, not just those made with Apple Pay.

You can access orders by tapping the “…” button in the app and then the “Orders” option. This feature is optional, and you need a device with Apple Intelligence support to use it.
Apple states that order tracking in the Wallet app is currently available in beta and is not yet fully functional. Some orders are not updated correctly and must be manually marked as completed; others are not displayed in the app.
Digital IDs
With iOS 26, iPhone users with Apple Wallet can add a U.S. passport, which can be used instead of a physical passport for domestic travel.

The digital ID can be stored on the iPhone or the Apple Watch and used at select TSA checkpoints throughout the United States. It is Real ID compatible, allowing a passport to be presented instead of Real ID when traveling.
Digital IDs do not replace physical passports, and Apple points out that they cannot be used for international travel or border crossings. A physical passport is required in these situations, but for domestic travel, iPhone users don’t need to pull out a passport and can instead pass through TSA checkpoints more quickly.
Like state driver’s licenses and government-issued identification cards, digital IDs work for age and identity verification in apps, retail stores, and—new in iOS 26—websites.
Enhanced Boarding Passes

Boarding passes for flights stored in the Wallet app can display more information in iOS 26. You’ll see maps to help you navigate the airport and an option to access Find My to track items, report missing luggage, and more using the Find My airline integration features.
Wallet app supports Live Activity

Boarding passes in the Wallet app support Live Activity and provide real-time updates about a flight. Flight information is displayed on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. Additionally, live activity for a flight can be shared with other people.
Credit Card Information

The app’s settings now include an “AutoFill” section where you can view and save full credit card information, such as the card number, expiration date, and security code.
Ads Control
Apple has added an option to disable offers and promotions sent through the Wallet app. Here’s how to disable ads like the F1 offer, for which Apple has been criticized.

To disable ads, open the app and tap the three dots in the top right corner. There, deactivate the “Offers and Promotions” button.
