The premiere of the fourth season of “Ted Lasso” was the most successful launch of any Apple TV+ series ever, according to Nielsen data provided to Deadline by Apple. The show garnered 296.6 million viewer minutes in the US on August 4th and 5th, surpassing the premieres of previous seasons of “Ted Lasso” as well as those of “Severance” and “Pluribus.”

Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 1 with over 200 million minutes of viewing time
As early as August 5th, the first episode was the most streamed show in the United States with over 200 million minutes of playback.
The fourth season premiered more than three years after the third season finale, but the long hiatus didn’t seem to bother Ted Lasso fans. Originally, it looked as though the third season might be the last of the series, so the fourth season was more of a surprise than an expected continuation.
In its fourth season, the series returns to its underdog roots: Lasso moves back to Richmond to coach a women’s soccer team in the second division. Two episodes of the fourth season are already available, and a new episode is released every Wednesday.
