Xiaomi has unveiled several new products, including the new 17T and 17T Pro. They have also launched several smart wearables, including the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, the Watch S5, the Xiaomi Buds 6, and the Xiaomi Sound Play.

Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro has been available in China under the name Mi Band 10 Pro for just over a week. Global customers receive the Smart Band 10 Pro, while Chinese buyers receive the Mi Band.

Aside from the name, the new Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is very similar to its predecessor, the Smart Band 9 Pro. For example, it has the same 1.74-inch display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 16.8 million colors, but is slightly brighter with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits (compared to 1,200 nits for the previous model).

The Xiaomi smartwatch’s battery has the same 350 mAh capacity and promises the same runtimes – up to 21 days with light use, 15 days with normal use, and 8 days with continuous use. The new strap is slightly lighter at 21.6 grams (the ceramic model is heavier at 28.7 grams) and also thinner, while maintaining its durability.

According to Xiaomi, the health sensors are completely new and feature a dual-light PD sensor. The band also has improved sleep tracking algorithms, but Xiaomi had announced exactly the same features for the previous model.

Xiaomi Watch S5

Xiaomi also unveiled the Watch S5, the successor to the Watch S4 from 2024. It features a slightly larger 1.48-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (46mm case), a stainless steel frame, and significantly improved battery life. Equipped with an 815mAh battery, Xiaomi claims the S5 can last up to 21 days on a single charge, compared to 15 days for its predecessor.

Despite the improved battery, Xiaomi managed to reduce the thickness of the Watch S4 by 1 mm. The remaining specifications include the usual health and activity tracking features, including dual-band GPS and water resistance up to 5 ATM. The Xiaomi Watch S5 is available in black, silver, ceramic blue, and jungle green.

Xiaomi Buds 6

The Xiaomi Buds 6 offer improvements over their predecessors in several key areas. For example, they feature a new 11mm driver with three magnets, resulting in significantly better sound. The Xiaomi earbuds also support the Qualcomm aptX driver for lossless audio transmission with a bitrate of up to 2.1 Mbps (compared to 1.2 Mbps for the Buds 5). Noise cancellation should also be improved.

The Xiaomi Buds 6 feature a new “biomimetic curved design”, making them thinner and lighter than the previous model, while also offering a better fit through an enlarged contact area and optimized airflow design.

Xiaomi Sound Play

Xiaomi also unveiled something new – the Xiaomi Sound Play. The speaker has an output power of 18 W, weighs 415 grams, is IP68 certified so you can take it to the beach, and has a battery life of up to 14 hours.

The Xiaomi Sound Play supports TWS pairing, allowing you to set up two speakers for simultaneous music playback. According to Xiaomi, up to 100 devices can be connected via Auracast.

In terms of design, the Sound Play is a pretty speaker with a color-matched ambient light ring on the bottom (either orange, blue, green or purple) and an Infinity Mirror Light that fills the speaker’s bass reflex chamber.

Prices

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is available from €80, while the NFC and ceramic editions cost up to €100. The Xiaomi Watch S5 starts at €179. The Xiaomi Buds 6 cost €120, and the Xiaomi Sound Play speaker is available from €50.
