vivo Y6 5G with 7,200 mAh battery and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 unveiled

After vivo announced the Y6t a few days ago, the vivo Y6 5G has now also been officially unveiled. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset like the Y6t.



The vivo Y6 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It also includes a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 7,200 mAh battery with support for 44-watt wired charging.

The vivo smartphone supports 5G, features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, an infrared transmitter, and runs on Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 user interface. It is dustproof and waterproof according to IP68 and IP69 standards and has undergone drop tests from a height of up to 1.7 meters.
The Y6 5G is available in silver, gold, and black. It measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39 mm and weighs 219 g.

It costs 1,799 CNY (€226/US$263) with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, 1,999 CNY (€251/US$292) with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and 2,199 CNY (€276/US$322) with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It is unclear whether it will ever be released outside of China.
