Samsung Galaxy S27 series expected to get UFS 5.0 storage
It has only been a few months since Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S26 series, but leaks about the next generation are already surfacing. A new leak has revealed what type of storage the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 models are expected to use.
According to an insider, Samsung is expected to introduce the new UFS 5.0 storage for the Galaxy S27 series, although the upgrade may be limited to selected models.
Samsung Galaxy S27 series with four models
Rumors suggest that Samsung’s upcoming product line will include the Galaxy S27, the Galaxy S27+, a new Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. It is likely that Samsung will reserve UFS 5.0 storage for the Pro and Ultra variants.
The UFS 5.0 standard, announced last November, offers several improvements over UFS 4.0 and 4.1. It enables double the sequential performance and achieves speeds of up to 10.8 Gbps compared to 5.8 Gbps for the previous generation.
Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will have an almost 1-inch 200MP main camera on the back with variable aperture and receive the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
