Sony Xperia 1 VIII retains 3.5 mm headphone jack
Renderings of the alleged Sony Xperia 1 VIII with its redesigned camera island surfaced earlier this month, and now the Xperia smartphone was certified by the FCC, significantly earlier than its predecessor Xperia 1 VII last year.
The listing includes the model number PY7-30515Z, which is presumably the Sony Xperia 1 VIII. Although no images of the device are included, some key features are confirmed. The upcoming flagship smartphone will continue to have a 3.5mm headphone jack and support wireless charging.

We have also received confirmation that, like its predecessor, it will feature Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). It will also offer the same 5G band support as the Xperia 1 VII, namely bands N5, N41, N66, and N77.
Rumors suggest that the Xperia 1 VIII will feature an updated camera setup consisting of three 48MP sensors We expect a larger main camera and a new telephoto sensor in the 1/3″ to 1/2″ range. The ultrawide camera will be the same as in the Xperia 1 VII. Sony is also expected to equip its upcoming flagship with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
