Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37: EU energy labels show up- and downgrades
Samsung unveiled its flagship models Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra this week. The company is also working hard on the Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 mid-range smartphones, which have been the subject of regular leaks for months.

The two models will definitely be released soon, and their mandatory EU energy labels were published today. These indicate a battery life of 52 hours for the Samsung Galaxy A57 and 53 hours for the Galaxy A37. Both smartphones are also IP68 dust and water resistant, an improvement over IP67 for their predecessors.

Unlike their predecessors, both Galaxy smartphones are now only certified for 1,200 full charge cycles before the battery capacity drops below 80% of its original capacity. The batteries of its predecessors achieved an impressive 2,000 charge cycles. Incidentally, the same trend can also be observed in the flagship devices of the Galaxy S26 series.
The A57 and A37 received an overall rating of A, but their repairability was rated C. The A57 also received an A for drop resistance, while the A37 only achieved a B. According to the latest rumors, the two budget phones are expected to be officially unveiled next month.
