The vivo Y31d with a 7,200 mAh battery and IP69+ certification is here
The vivo Y31d was introduced quietly and without much fanfare. Although quite similar to the vivo Y31 and the Y31 Pro, it has some key differences. The most important is the 4G chipset, a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2. Another important difference is the larger 7,200 mAh battery – the other two models only have 6,500 mAh batteries.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset with 6 or 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 2.2). It also runs Android 16 with vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface.
Despite its relatively slim design, the vivo Y31d features a 7,200 mAh BlueVolt battery. This is sufficient for over 13 hours of MOBA gaming, over 14 hours of navigation, or almost two days of continuous video playback (45 hours).
The 44W FlashCharge system promises a charge from 1% to 50% in just 43 minutes. There’s also a bypass charging option if you want to play with an external power supply. The battery is designed to last for 6 years.
The casing of the vivo Y31d is made of a plastic composite material, while the camera unit is made of metal. This unit features a 50 MP main camera (f/2.0 aperture) with a 2 MP secondary camera on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera (f/2.0) on the front.
The front features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels. It’s a 120 Hz panel with a brightness of up to 1250 nits. The fingerprint reader is located on the side.
The phone has two nano-SIM slots and, as mentioned, is a 4G-only device. It also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and has a USB 2.0 port. NFC is not included. There’s also no headphone jack, but the phone does have stereo speakers (with 400% volume boost).
vivo Y31d colors
The vivo Y31d is available in Glow White and Starlight Gray. It measures 166.6 x 78.4 x 8.39 mm (8.49 mm for the white version) and weighs 219 g. The smartphone is IP69+ certified, offering protection against splashing water, rain, high-pressure water jets, and brief immersion in up to 1.5 m of water for up to 30 minutes.
There is no pricing information yet, but the vivo Y31d is already listed on the official vivo websites in Cambodia and Vietnam.
