Realme 16 Pro, Pad 3 and Buds Air8 unveiled in India

The Realme 16 Pro series was officially unveiled in India today, marking the brand’s first major product launch of 2026. In addition to the Realme 16 Pro+ Realme also presented the regular 16 Pro as well as the Tablet Pad 3 and the wireless earbuds Buds Air8.

Realme 16 Pro

The Realme 16 Pro shares some of its key specifications with the 16 Pro+, including the 200MP main camera (Samsung HP5) with Realme’s LumaColor image processing technology. The device also features an 8MP ultrawide lens, but lacks a dedicated telephoto lens like the 16 Pro+.

The Realme 16 Pro features the same urban Wild design as the Pro+, which was developed in collaboration with the designer Naoto Fukasawa. The smartphone has a plastic frame instead of the aluminum frame of its sister model, but still offers IP69 protection.

The Realme 16 Pro features a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is said to offer a maximum brightness of 1400 nits and is also equipped with a 50MP selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner.

The regular Realme 16 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, 8/12 GB of RAM, and 128/256 GB of storage. It features the same 7,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging as the Realme 16 Pro+ and runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. Three Android operating system updates and four years of security updates are promised.

Prices

The Realme 16 Pro is available in Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple, which is exclusive to India. Prices start at INR 31,999 (€306/USD 355) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage version and go up to INR 36,999 (€351/USD 410) for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage version. Pre-orders are now being accepted by Realme India, with shipping scheduled for January 8th.

Realme Pad 3

The Realme Pad 3 is an 11.6-inch tablet with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. The IPS LCD display offers a resolution of 2,800 x 2,000 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 7:5.

Inside the Pad 3 is the same Dimensity 7300 Max chipset as in the Realme 16 Pro, combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage, as well as a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The Pad 3 is available in both a Wi-Fi-only version and a 5G-enabled version.

The Realme Pad 3 is 6.6 mm thin and weighs 578 grams. It features two 8-megapixel cameras, one on the front and one on the back. The package is rounded out by a 12,200 mAh battery with 45-watt charging and 6.5-watt reverse charging.

Prices

The Realme Pad 3 is available for pre-order in Champagne Gold and Space Gray. The base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (Wi-Fi only) costs 26,999 INR (€256/USD 300), while the top-of-the-line model with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and 5G connectivity costs 31,999 INR (€303/USD 355).

Realme Buds Air8

As the newest member of the Buds Air family, the Realme Buds Air8 feature two drivers: 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm tweeters. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support the SBC, AAC, and LHDC 5.0 codecs. They offer active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 55dB, 3D sound, and the ability to connect to up to three devices simultaneously.

The battery life of the headphones is 14 hours, which the charging case extends to up to 58 hours. The Buds Air8 are dustproof and waterproof according to IP55.

Prices

The Realme Buds Air8 are available for pre-order in Master Gold, Master Grey, and Master Purple. They cost 3,799 INR (36 €/42 USD) and will be available from January 16th.
