New Poco M8 leak: Bright OLED display and MIL-STD-810H certification

Xiaomi will officially launch the Poco M8 on January 8th, and further technical data of the smartphone have now been officially announced in advance.

It features a 6.77-inch, 3D-curved OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The manufacturer even claims it is the “most rugged smartphone with a 3D-curved display” in this segment.

The Poco M8 is certified to the MIL-STD-810H standard and withstands extreme heat, dust, shocks, and “the rigors of everyday life”—whatever that may mean. It is also IP66 dustproof and waterproof and features integrated Wet Touch 2.0 technology. It has undergone drop tests from up to 1.7 meters.
Poco M8 only 7.35 mm thick
With its slim profile of only 7.35 mm and a weight of only 178 g, it is not only the slimmest Poco mobile phone of all time, but also the slimmest and lightest device in its segment.
These are all the officially published technical specifications so far. Thanks to recently surfaced retailer listings, we also know that it’s equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and has a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, a 20 MP selfie camera and a 5,520 mAh battery with support for 45 watt wired charging.
