Today, Honor unveiled its first “Ultra” watch. It’s a sequel – and a significant evolution – to 2023’s Honor Watch 4 Pro. Unlike the regular Watch 5, the Honor Watch 5 Ultra features a circular display housed in an octagonal case. It also expands to global markets with the Honor Pad V9 and Honor Buds Open.

Honor Watch 5 Ultra

The new Honor Watch 5 Ultra stands out from its siblings with premium materials. The middle frame is made of grade 5 titanium alloy, while the back is made of a ceramic-like material and polymer fiber composite. This contrasts with the aluminum construction of the regular Watch 5 and even the stainless steel case of the Watch 4 Pro.

There’s a sapphire crystal on the front for added durability and scratch resistance. Beneath sits the 1.5-inch round OLED display (466 x 466 pixels, 310 ppi), an LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate of up to 60 Hz for smooth animations or a low value for longer battery life. An always-on display mode is also supported.

The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is also the first model to feature an ECG. The Quick Health Scan feature gives you instant ECG readings, while the Health Monitor Report summarizes all the health data collected from the previous day. For diving fans, the Ultra offers a new freediving mode for dives up to 40 meters (130 feet) deep. There are over 100 sports modes available in total.

The watch case measures 46.3 mm in diameter, is 11.4 mm thick, and weighs 51.8 g without the strap. There’s a speaker on board, so you can take calls without having your phone to hand.

The Honor Watch 5 Ultra’s user interface can be navigated using the rotating crown. It is highly customizable with over 10,000 unique watch faces and the so-called Scenario Service Cards. These provide quick access to functions such as weather forecast, fitness tracking and more.

The smartwatch draws power from a 480 mAh battery, just like the Watch 4 Pro and the Watch 5. This means the Ultra promises a battery life of up to 15 days. Wireless charging is also supported. The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is available in black and brown. There is also a fluoroelastomer or leather strap.

Honor Pad V9

The Honor Pad V9 was announced back in December. It is an 11.5-inch tablet with an IPS LCD display with 2,800 x 1,840 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors. The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset provides the power. The tablet supports Honor’s Magic Pencil 3 and a Smart Keyboard cover, both of which are sold separately.

The highlights of the Honor Pad V9 include eight IMAX Enhanced speakers and a 10,100 mAh SiCa battery that supports 66 watt fast charging. Honor packs all of this into a case that’s only 6.1 mm thick.

Honor Earbuds Open

The Honor Earbuds Open have an open ear design and ear hooks for a secure fit and long-lasting comfort. Using AI, the earbuds support translations from 15 languages in three modes (shared mode, exclusive mode and simultaneous interpretation). Active noise cancellation is also supported and a bone voiceprint sensor ensures that your voice can be heard clearly during calls, even in noisy environments.

Each earbud weighs 7.9 g and is made of skin-friendly silicone. They also have an IP54 protection rating, so you can walk in the rain. The hooks then ensure that the earphones do not fall out of your ears.

The headphones last up to 6 hours and come with a charging case for a total of 22 hours. They also support fast charging – 15 minutes in the case is enough for 2 hours of music playback.
