Last month, the name of Motorola’s upcoming widescreen foldable smartphone – the alleged Motorola Razr Flex – was finally leaked. This has now been confirmed by a Geekbench entry. Apparently, someone with a Razr Flex prototype ran Geekbench 6.7.1 on it, thus confirming the name (if that’s even possible – such results could, of course, be fake).

Benchmark tests also revealed that the Motorola Razr Flex is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This is noteworthy, as previous rumors suggested a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The prototype tested has 12 GB of RAM, but Motorola will undoubtedly offer additional RAM options. The Moto smartphone is expected to launch with Android 17.

Motorola Razr Flex 27 or 2027?

Interestingly, the device could be called Razr Flex 27 or Razr Flex 2027, which aligns with Motorola’s naming convention for devices sold in North America. This also suggests that the company doesn’t view this as a one-off experiment, but is already planning a successor.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the Razr Flex achieved a single-core score of 2,669 and a multi-core score of 8,837. However, as always, we would like to point out that such figures should not be overinterpreted, as they are from a prototype and were also obtained in Geekbench 6, whose results are not directly comparable to those in Geekbench 7.

Rumors suggest the Motorola Razr Flex will feature a 6.92-inch foldable OLED internal display with a resolution of 2364 x 1728 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate, a 4.97-inch OLED external display with a resolution of 1140 x 1736 pixels, a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, two 32MP selfie cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W wireless charging. It will weigh 215g and be available in the Pantone colors Coriander and Dark Botanical Garden. The launch is expected in mid-December.
