Nvidia today announced the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti, the entry-level models in the company’s 50-series graphics cards. Starting with the more powerful RTX 5060 Ti, this model features the GB206 chip with 4608 CUDA cores. It has a boost clock speed of 2.57 GHz and a base clock speed of 2.41 GHz. Like the 4060 Ti, you can choose between 8 and 16 GB of video memory options, this time in GDDR7 and clocked at 28 Gbps with a 128-bit bus. The card has a power limit of 180 watts for both memory options.

Then there’s the Nvidia RTX 5060, which also features the same GB206 chip but with 3840 CUDA cores. It has a boost clock speed of 2.5 GHz and a base clock speed of 2.28 GHz. Unlike the 5060 Ti, the base version only offers the 8 GB GDDR7 option, which is a bit weak in 2025. Its power consumption is 145 watts, significantly higher than the 4060’s 115 watts. This may make it less suitable for very compact PCs than the 4060.

Both cards run on the new Blackwell architecture and are based on the TSMC 4N process. Both feature 5th-generation Tensor cores and 4th-generation RT cores, and support the latest DLSS 4 features, including 4x frame generation, as well as the upcoming Reflex 2 feature. Connections are via PCIe 5.0 interfaces, although these may be limited to 8 lanes. Finally, both support the new NVENC encoder and NVDEC decoder, which supports 4:2:2 video encoding and decoding.

Nvidia has some performance figures for both cards, but as usual, they make extensive use of image reconstruction and frame generation to back up the numbers. In a side-by-side comparison, both the 5060 Ti and 5060 run about 20–25% faster than the 4060 Ti and 4060 in the featured games, which is a good bit faster than the 40-series cards compared to their predecessors.

Nvidia RTX 5060 / Ti Pricing

Pricing for the RTX 5060 Ti starts at $379 (€334) for the 8 GB model and $429 (€378) for the 16 GB model. It goes on sale today. The RTX 5060 starts at $299 (€263) and will launch sometime in May. These are pre-tariff prices in the US, which are subject to change internationally.

There are no Founders Edition models, but the new graphics cards will be available from all major manufacturers. The company also announced 5060 GPUs for notebooks, which will be available from all major manufacturers starting in May.
