Samsung Galaxy S26 series: One UI 8.5 leak and faster wireless charging
Samsung’s One UI 8.5 is expected to debut early next year on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. A few days ago, the full changelog surfaced online. Today, a detailed analysis of the One UI 8.5 code revealed renderings of the upcoming Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models.
These are referred to by their codenames M1, M2, and M3. The images in the One UI 8.5 source code essentially confirm all the design leaks we’ve seen so far.
Samsung will use an oval camera module with three cameras in the top left corner on all devices. The S26 Ultra also uses this design, even though it has four cameras on the back. Interestingly, an earlier rumor that all three devices would have the same curvature radius seems to have been confirmed today.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60-watt wired charging, while the S26 and S26+ will reportedly support 25 watts and 45 watts, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series rumored to get faster wireless charging
Furthermore, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will get faster wireless charging. To achieve these speeds, Samsung is reportedly working on a new wireless charger. Samsung’s current Qi2 charger supports 15W wireless charging, but the new charger, model number EP-P2900, will support 25W wireless charging.
According to retailers, this charger is dark gray and supports the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds.
Previous rumors suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra would support 25W wireless charging, while the Galaxy S26 and The Galaxy S26+ would support 20-watt wireless charging.
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ were recently compared to their predecessors and are expected to use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset in some markets and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in others. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will most likely only use Qualcomm’s flagship processor.
