Samsung Galaxy S26: New Exynos network chip and One UI 8.5
New day, new rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series. For one thing, a new tip suggests that the Galaxy S26+ could be to blame for the One UI 8 beta program delay. The second leak brings a new Exynos connectivity chip into play, which could take over network functions on Samsung’s next flagship models.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series could get new Exynos network chip
A new Samsung Exynos S6568 chipset has been listed on the Bluetooth Qualified Products website. It is described as a combined Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chip with Bluetooth 6.1 support, intended for use with an Exynos chipset.
No further details are currently available, but it’s likely that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will use the S6568 companion connectivity chip—the timing is just too good. The chipset could offer improved range and greater efficiency.
Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Delayed Due to Galaxy S26+
Samsung has reportedly postponed the start of the beta program for its upcoming Android interface, One UI 8.5. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch with this operating system. Samsung was originally supposed to release the first beta version of One UI 8.5 in November.
However, this is now very unlikely, says a tipster on X. The market launch is delayed and everything has to do with the Galaxy S26+. This model was initially discontinued by Samsung, only to recently reactivate it due to the poor sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The Galaxy S26 Edge was supposed to replace the S26+, but it seems the other way around now.
Accordingly, there’s no time to develop the Samsung Galaxy S26+, and according to rumors, the entire series has been delayed from January to March. Since Samsung wants to celebrate the debut of One UI 8.5 with these devices, it makes no sense to release the first beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series for testing in November if they won’t receive the final update until March. Hence the delay in the rollout.
So far, however, this is just a mix of unconfirmed rumors and speculation. Fortunately, November is just around the corner – we’re excited to see if it brings One UI 8.5.
