Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Minimal battery upgrade

There has been much speculation surrounding the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Some rumors claimed the S26 Ultra’s battery would be larger than that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (5,000 mAh), while others assumed the same capacity. Now, a new leak from China claims that the next Samsung top smartphone will have a slightly larger battery.

According to the source, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with a 5,200 mAh battery. While this is hardly an upgrade, it’s a step in the right direction, as the last Ultra models shipped with a 5,000 mAh battery.
It’s also worth noting that this rumor contradicts a Chinese certification from August, which claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would have a battery with a nominal capacity of 4,855 mAh. This would mean that the advertised typical capacity is the familiar 5,000 mAh. Therefore, we must wait for further sources to confirm this new rumor.
Regarding charging speed, previous rumors indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra supports 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, supports 45 watts wired and 15 watts wireless charging. According to the latest leak, the Ultra will not get a brighter display.
