Product overview OnePlus 13R

Design

The OnePlus 13R boasts a modern and slim design. With a robust aluminum frame and a matte glass back, the smartphone feels premium. The camera module is seamlessly integrated into the design, while the slightly curved frame ensures comfortable handling. The alert slider, a OnePlus signature feature, is still present and practical for quickly controlling notification modes.

• High-quality design and workmanship
• Excellent LTPO OLED display with 120 Hz
• Powerful processor and ample RAM
• Long battery life and fast charging
• Solid main camera in daylight

Build quality

The OnePlus 13R boasts first-class build quality. The materials used are durable, and the transitions between the frame and display are seamless. The device is also IP65-rated for water and dust resistance, making it suitable for everyday use. The buttons have a satisfying tactile response, and the ports are precisely machined. Overall, the smartphone conveys a feeling of solidity and reliability.

Display

The OnePlus 13R features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels. A 120Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth animations and fluid scrolling. With a brightness of up to 4,500 nits, the display remains easily readable even in direct sunlight. HDR10+ and wide color gamut coverage make it ideal for multimedia content. Color reproduction is vibrant, and the sharpness is impressive for both text and videos.

Performance

The OnePlus 13R is powered by the high-performance Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which, combined with up to 12 GB of RAM, delivers impressive performance. Apps open in a flash, and multitasking is seamless. Even demanding games and 4K video editing are no problem for this device. The OxygenOS 15 operating system, based on Android 15, provides an optimized user experience.

Battery

The 6,000 mAh battery offers excellent battery life of up to two days with moderate use. Thanks to 80-watt fast charging technology, the device is fully charged in just 52 minutes. However, wireless charging is not supported, which could be a slight drawback in this price range.

Camera

The OnePlus 13R features a triple-camera system consisting of a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and the new 50 MP telephoto camera. The main camera delivers impressively sharp and detailed images in daylight, while the ultrawide camera is suitable for panoramas. Thanks to its 47 mm focal length, the telephoto camera is well-suited for portraits and also offers lossless 4x hybrid zoom. The 16 MP front camera is good for selfies and video calls. The main camera’s performance in low light is weak, despite the night mode optimization.

Conclusion

The OnePlus 13R is a versatile smartphone that impresses with its strong performance, stunning display, and fast charging. It’s aimed at users looking for a modern and powerful device without an exorbitant price tag. However, some limitations, such as the lack of wireless charging and the average low-light camera, might be drawbacks for more demanding users.
