Product overview Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

Design

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra impresses with its modern design and high-quality materials. The back is made of glass, while the frame is aluminum. The striking camera module protrudes noticeably, giving it a distinctive look. The build quality is flawless, but the larger body makes the device less handy compared to previous Zenfone models.

Excellent AMOLED display with up to 144 Hz and high brightness
Long battery life with efficient power consumption
Solid build quality and IP68 protection
Powerful hardware for gaming and multitasking
Intuitive user interface close to stock Android

Build quality

The build quality is solid, with no visible weaknesses. The smartphone offers IP68 certification, which protects it against dust and water. It feels robust and durable, although the larger size makes one-handed operation more difficult.

Display

The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display offers a 1080p resolution and supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 144 Hz. It impresses with vibrant colors, high sharpness, and a maximum brightness of up to 2,500 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use. HDR content is displayed at 1,600 nits, enhancing the viewing experience. Compared to competing models such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra However, the resolution appears somewhat more subdued.

Performance

With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and up to 16 GB of RAM, the Zenfone 11 Ultra offers top performance. Games run smoothly thanks to 144 Hz support, and multitasking is effortless. However, the device gets warmer under heavy use, and its cooling is less effective than that of Asus’ ROG models.

Battery

The 5,500 mAh battery delivers impressive battery life of up to 2-3 days with moderate use. Thanks to LTPO technology, power consumption is optimized. The 65-watt fast charging function allows for a full charge in less than an hour. The Zenfone 11 Ultra clearly excels in this area.

Camera

The camera system includes a 50 MP main camera with 6-axis stabilization, a 32 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera. Photos offer natural colors and good detail, but there are signs of oversharpening and average dynamic range. Compared to flagship phones like the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24+ It lacks nuance and vibrancy. Videos are recorded in 8K at 24 fps or 4K at 60 fps and offer good stabilization.

Conclusion

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a powerful flagship phone that impresses with excellent battery life, a great display, and robust performance. However, there are better alternatives for photography enthusiasts.
