OnePlus Nord 4

Product overview OnePlus Nord 4

The OnePlus Nord 4 is the latest addition to OnePlus’ popular Nord series and aims to offer high-quality features at an affordable price. With a strong focus on display, performance, and camera, the device presents an attractive option for users seeking a powerful mid-range smartphone.

Design and workmanship

The OnePlus Nord 4 boasts a simple yet elegant design. The back is made of matte glass, giving the device a premium feel and effectively hiding fingerprints. The frame is made of plastic to keep costs down, without compromising stability. The smartphone is lightweight and comfortable to hold thanks to its rounded edges.

The device is available in modern colors like Sky Blue and Graphite Black, which contribute to its sophisticated look. With an IP54 rating, it is also protected against splashes of water and dust.

Display

The OnePlus Nord 4 features a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. A highlight is the 120Hz refresh rate, which ensures exceptionally smooth animations and a better user experience. The AMOLED technology delivers rich colors, deep blacks, and high brightness, making the display easily readable even in sunlight.

Performance

Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor delivers excellent mid-range performance. Supported by 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM (depending on the variant), the OnePlus Nord 4 offers smooth performance, even under heavy use and multitasking. Games and demanding apps run flawlessly, making the device appealing to gamers as well.

The operating system is OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14. OxygenOS is known for its sleek and user-friendly interface, offering fast updates and extensive customization options.

Camera

The OnePlus Nord 4 is equipped with a triple camera:

• 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS)
• 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera

The main camera delivers impressive photos with sharp details and vibrant colors in good lighting conditions. Thanks to optical image stabilization (OIS), usable shots are still possible even in low light. Night mode helps improve image quality in low light. The ultrawide camera complements the setup well, although its performance isn’t quite as strong in low light. The front camera has a 16 MP sensor and ensures sharp selfies with good detail.

Battery and charging

The 5500 mAh battery provides solid battery life, easily lasting a full day with intensive use. A particular highlight is the 100W fast charging, which fully charges the battery in just 28 minutes. Wireless charging, however, is not supported.

Connectivity and extras

The Nord 4 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4 for fast and stable connections. The in-display fingerprint sensor works quickly and reliably, and the stereo speakers deliver good sound. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, which some users might find a drawback.

Conclusion

The OnePlus Nord 4 is a powerful mid-range smartphone that particularly impresses with its smooth 120Hz AMOLED display, solid performance, and fast charging. For users looking for a high-performance smartphone with an attractive price-performance ratio, the OnePlus Nord 4 is an excellent choice.
