Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 appears in another dummy leak
Two new leaks have surfaced, offering further insight into Samsung’s upcoming foldable widescreen smartphone, rumored to be simply called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. One of the leaks shows a dummy device, while the other compares its size and form factor to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 as a dummy device in white, and the latest leak now shows it in black as well. According to a recent rumor, this color could be called Graphite.
The mock-up again suggests that Samsung is sticking with the design language of the Galaxy Z Fold7, including a flat frame, flat sides, a slim profile, and a vertically arranged, pill-shaped camera module. The main difference, however, lies in the significantly wider and shorter form factor. The mock-up also bears a striking resemblance to Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone Ultra and the already available Huawei Pura X Max.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 with dual 50 MP cameras
The dummy model of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is equipped with a dual camera on the back, which, according to previous leaks, will consist of a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.
The power button and volume controls are located on the right side, while a USB Type-C port is located at the bottom.
Comparison with the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Furthermore, the well-known leaker Ice Universe shared a render image comparing the Galaxy Z Fold8 with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Looking closely at the dimensions, you’ll notice that the height of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the width of the Z Fold8 are almost identical. However, the foldable phone also offers around 50% more screen area.
Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 will be unveiled on July 22nd at an Unpacked event, along with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7, and the Galaxy Z Flip8. Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch9.
