While the teasers don’t actually show the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 itself, they repeatedly emphasize a wide format through images and messages. Samsung also uses phrases like “A new form” and “A bold step,” which seem to hint at the revised, wider aspect ratio.

Samsung reveals launch date
Now that the teasers have been released, it’s likely only a matter of time before Samsung officially announces the release date for the Galaxy Z Fold8, which is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip8. Some rumors have suggested that Samsung will hold its next major Unpacked event on July 22nd in London, and now the company itself strongly indicates that this is indeed the date.
In Malaysia, Samsung is offering its loyal customers an exclusive discount of 700 MYR (150 Euro/171 USD) on the purchase of their next Galaxy foldable. The offer is available from July 22nd to October 4th in the Samsung Members app.
The fact that the code is supposed to appear from July 22nd onwards is practically official confirmation that this is indeed the date for the next Unpacked event. Hopefully, the company will send out official invitations soon.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Cases
The third leak reveals various protective cases for the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8. First, let’s look at the cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
The leak shows a wide range of cases for Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones, suggesting that these accessories could be available alongside the phones at launch.
For the flagship Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, there will likely be various options available, such as transparent cases, silicone cases and aramid fiber cases.
The leaked images also show cases made of aramid fiber with integrated stands, as well as silicone cases with built-in magnetic rings for wireless charging. The cases also appear to be available in various colors.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8
The cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 follow the same design language as the cases for the two Fold models, but are designed specifically for the folding form factor.
This year’s range again includes transparent, silicone, and aramid fiber cases, including aramid fiber versions with an integrated stand and silicone cases with magnetic rings. Special editions for the Galaxy Z Fold8 will also be available, featuring designs by Esther Kim, Joker, and Kakao Corp.

The cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 feature the same design as the other two, but are clearly designed for the flip phone form factor. The range includes various transparent and silicone cases, both with and without integrated magnetic rings. Some silicone cases also have magnetic rings.
Like the Fold models, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 will also have special edition protective cases featuring designs by Esther Kim, Joker, and Kakao Corp. Remarkably, however, there don’t appear to be any cases made of aramid fiber for the flip phone.
Samsung is expected to offer its own accessories alongside a selection of third-party protective cases. Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 will be unveiled on July 22nd.
