Lenovo has unveiled two new tablets – one is ideal for on the go, the other is better suited for the office.

Lenovo ThinkTab X11

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is the company’s first rugged Android tablet. It is IP68-certified and tested to MIL-STD-810H standards. A particularly important feature is its battery-less mode, which allows it to remain on a docking station all day or be used as a kiosk. When running on battery power, the X11 has a capacity of 10,200 mAh.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity as well as two USB-C ports. It also features an NFC receiver on the front for easy payments.

The tablet features a 10.95-inch display and a stylus that is stored on the top. The display is a 2560 x 1600 pixel panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 600 nits.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor and features 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Coincidentally, this is the same chipset that also powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro is used.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 will be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa starting in April. The tablet will cost €500.

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is also a powerful tablet, particularly well-suited for office and school environments. It features a 13-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio (3540 x 2190 pixels). The panel operates at 144 Hz and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It typically delivers a brightness of 600 nits, which increases to 800 nits in high-brightness mode.

The display of the tablet is surrounded by four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is powered by the significantly faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). The battery has a capacity of 10,200mAh and supports 45W fast charging. The tablet ships with Android 16, and Lenovo promises only two operating system updates and four years of security updates.

The predecessor model, the Idea Tab Pro, used the Dimensity 8300 chipset and had a smaller 12.7-inch LCD display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. It shipped with Android 14 and is expected to receive only two updates, meaning the current Android 16 is the end of the line.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 will be released at the end of the month for €550. It supports the separately available Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack, but a protective case and a stylus are included free of charge.
