Apple iPhone Fold: This is what the foldable phone could look like

Rumors suggest that the first foldable Apple iPhone Fold will be released in September 2026. Since this would represent the biggest change in form factor since the introduction of the first iPhone in 2007, there is considerable interest in the design. A 3D designer has created a model of the foldable iPhone based on these rumors. MacRumors printed it out to compare it with the current iPhones.
The Apple iPhone Fold, when folded, will be smaller than all current iPhones and shorter than the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. Rumors suggest it will be about 5.4 inches in size, making it as small as the now-discontinued iPhone 13 mini.

When unfolded, the Apple iPhone Fold measures approximately 7.6 inches. It is smaller than the iPad mini, but offers a larger display than any previous iPhone. The Fold is short and wide, resembling a book in shape. Thanks to its 4:3 aspect ratio, it should be quite user-friendly.
Apple iPhone Fold: 5.49-inch cover display, 7.76-inch main display
The exact dimensions of the foldable Apple iPhone Fold are still unknown, and rumors vary. Therefore, the 3D print does not represent the exact device Apple is working on. The 3D model is based on a design by a MacRumors reader. iZac, basing his design on rumors from May. He designed a 5.49-inch display when closed and a 7.76-inch display when open.

So far, there are no rumors that deviate significantly from these figures, but it is being discussed by 5.3 to 5.5 inches for the outer (closed) display and 7.6 to 7.8 inches for the inner (open) display The iZac design also specifies a thickness of 4.8 mm when open, although rumors about the thickness vary. It could be 4.8 mm, or even only 4.5 mm.
The 3D-printed hinge is only a placeholder, as we don’t yet know what Apple’s final hinge will look like. Rumors suggest that Apple has invested considerable time and effort in developing a hinge that makes the crease between the two halves of the device virtually invisible. The appearance of the camera area is also still unknown. However, there are new rumors about ultra-thin flexible glass to cover the main display.
Even though the 3D print is not an exact representation of the device Apple intends to launch, it comes close enough to the rumors to give a good idea of what the Apple iPhone Fold might look and feel like.
