Rumors are already circulating that Oppo is working on its next foldable smartphone – the Oppo Find N6. The successor to the Find N5, which was released in February, is expected to be the first foldable smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Today, a tipster on X also revealed that Oppo is currently testing the Find N6 in India.

While the market launch in India hasn’t been confirmed yet, testing on the subcontinent almost always leads to a later release. So this is good news – there’s a clear chance that the Oppo Find N6 will make the leap from China to international markets. This would be Oppo’s first foldable, book-format smartphone, which will be available in India under its own brand. The OnePlus Open was already being sold in India and was essentially a rebranded Oppo Find N3.

Oppo Find N6 will be the first foldable with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip

At the end of October, a rumor circulated that revealed some technical specifications, and today the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, known for his leaks, has once again commented on Weibo about it. Oppo has announced the Find N6. According to them, it will be the first foldable smartphone on the market equipped with Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

The Oppo Find N6 will also be available in China in a version with satellite communication. The smartphone’s battery capacity will be at least 6,000 mAh, but a precise figure has not yet been released. It also features an 8.1-inch main display, a 6.6-inch cover display, a 50MP main camera with Sony’s Lytia LYT-808 sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

It’s still unclear exactly when the Find N6 will be released, but if it’s the first foldable smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it’s expected to launch in the first half of next year. We’re keeping our eyes open.
