Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Camera specs and display images
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in late February 2026. Recent reports suggest that this year’s flagship might skip major camera upgrades, and a new leak now seems to confirm these assumptions.
According to a tipster, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain the same camera hardware as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with the only change being the swapped 10MP telephoto sensor. The 3x telephoto camera is said to use a new 12MP Samsung S5K3LD sensor. The tipster also revealed that the smartphone will offer a new APV video codec option.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will also feature a 200MP Samsung HP2 main camera, a 50MP JN3 ultrawide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX854 periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. A 12 MP Sony IMX874 sensor is used for selfies.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Screen Protector Compared to the S25 Ultra
Yesterday, screen protectors for the entire Galaxy S26 series were allegedly leaked, and today the same source is reporting comparison images of the screen protectors for the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as well as the iPhone 17 Pro Max back.
The key finding from yesterday’s leak was that all three members of the Galaxy S26 family now appear to have the same curvature radius at the display corners. The Ultra model has always had less rounded corners, but according to the images, that will apparently change.
On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Pro Max still has the roundest corners of all, even compared to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It also appears to have slightly thinner bezels, although the Samsung’s bezels are also symmetrical on all sides.
The Galaxy S26 series is rumored to be officially unveiled at the end of February, and the Galaxy S26 Edge, if it exists at all, will most likely be released later, just like the S25 Edge this year.
