Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: New images of the camera module
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra already appeared in some CAD renderings earlier this month. Last week, an image emerged in a similar orange to the new Apple iPhone 17 series, and now it’s time to take another look, this time in a case. Another case, to be precise, since case images also surfaced mid-last month. The new design of the camera island is still there, as expected.
The three camera sensors on the left side of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra are now part of a raised oval island, rather than individual circles. Samsung has been slowly phasing this design into its lower-end phones over the past year.
We initially thought the idea behind this was to differentiate the flagships with individual camera modules from the cheaper models, but this is apparently not the case. The company appears to be in the process of rolling out this design across its entire smartphone portfolio.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with Exynos 2600 chipset?
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to be based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. However, since Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 chip has shown considerable potential in recent benchmark tests, some markets may get the in-house variant instead.
The entry-level model Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro appears to definitely rely on Exynos transistors, according to the latest leak. The Galaxy S26 Edge, on the other hand, will apparently not be released at all.
