Apple iPhone 17 Pro in Orange, iPhone 17 Air in Sky Blue
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models could be available in a new copper-like orange, according to well-known tipster Sonny Dickson. In an X-post today, Dickson shared images of alleged lens covers for the main cameras of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, with the following five color names: black, gray, silver, dark blue, and orange.
The colors black, gray, and silver likely correspond to the existing Titanium Black, Titanium White, and Titanium Natural options of the iPhone 16 Pro models. The color Titanium Desert Sand is also currently available. The dark blue lens cover suggests that Apple may reintroduce the Titanium Blue color option, which was available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
The orange lens cap on the Apple iPhone 17 Pro is the most striking, as it could indicate a brand-new color option that Apple has never offered for an iPhone model before. However, it’s unclear whether the images are truly authentic. This is partly because they’re a leak, and partly because they could be internal testing.
Dickson has regularly published images of dummy models, cases, CAD files, and other components of future iPhone models over the years. He has often been right with precise information about color options or design changes.
Sky Blue isn’t coming to the iPhone 17 Pro, but to the iPhone 17 Air
A second leak from a tipster named Majin Bu revolves around the iPhone 17 Air. According to the leak, Apple plans to extend the new Sky Blue color of the MacBook Air to the iPhone 17 Air later this year.
Majin Bu initially claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models would be available in Himmelblau. Today the U-turn – Apple ultimately decided to restrict the color option to the supposedly ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. In addition to sky blue, black, silver and gold are planned for the iPhone 17 Air, as in the picture at the top left.
The tipster has a good track record in terms of Apple leaks and was last with the Mac-like menu bar of the iPads in iPadOS 26 correct.
