Honor Magic V5: Images show 8.8 mm thin profile

The next foldable flagship, the Honor Magic V5, will launch in China on July 2nd. Ahead of the big event, the Chinese manufacturer has already revealed almost the entire design in new images and a short video. As expected, the foldable device will be extremely thin. When folded, it measures just 8.8 mm— The same as the brand’s current non-foldable flagship, the Magic7 Pro, which is also exactly 8.8 mm thick.

This would make the Honor Magic V5 the slimmest device in its class to date. However, the manufacturer remains tight-lipped about the dimensions when unfolded. But the value is, of course, obvious— It should be almost exactly or a little less than 4.4 mm.

Honor has released a series of press images showing the updated design of the V5. The device is expected to be available in a new, shiny gold tone with a textured back and hinge.

The Honor Magic V5 also features a huge camera island with what appears to be three sensors – presumably a main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a periscope telephoto lens to underline its premium credentials. According to rumors, Honor will use a 200 MP sensor for the periscope module.
Honor has also released a video showing the design of the Magic V5.
According to new rumors, the Magic V5 will feature an 8-inch main display and a 6.45-inch cover display. The device will also be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (Leading Version) chipset and a 6,000 mAh battery with 66W charging support.
