Honor Magic V5 and MagicPad 3 before launch
Honor is preparing to launch its next foldable flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic V5. The teaser campaign is already in full swing ahead of the grand launch on July 2nd in Shenzhen, China.
Honor has now released its first official look at the device in its folded state. The Honor Magic V5 looks extremely thin and also features a large camera island, which is rumored to house a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
According to the new teaser, the Honor Magic V5 will launch as the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. This will make it thinner than the Oppo Find N5, currently the slimmest folding phone with a thickness of 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when unfolded. The battery is said to have a capacity of 6,000 mAh.
The new teaser also promises PC-level productivity and Honor’s most powerful AI features yet. There is no information yet on a potential global market launch of the Honor Magic V5.
Honor MagicPad 3: First official images
In addition to the Magic V5, a new tablet is also scheduled to launch on July 2nd: the Honor MagicPad 3. The brand has now begun unveiling the new tablet and released the official images, which you can see below.
Honor also confirmed the key specifications of the MagicPad 3. It features a 13.3-inch LCD screen with 3.2K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate.
The device will also feature a 12,450 mAh battery, but is still only 5.79 mm thick and weighs just 595 g. Honor also promises a reinforced chassis structure that can withstand bending.
The Honor MagicPad 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and features up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. It charges with up to 66 watts and is available in white, gold, and gray.
