Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Ultra: New video reveals the design
Apple will unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra on September 9th. That’s the Wednesday after next, so we’ve already had months of leaks, reports, renderings, and videos. The latest video comes from Unbox Therapy, who received a package from China showing all three new models in highly detailed dummy versions.
Apple iPhone Ultra
First up is the Apple iPhone Ultra, confirming previous design leaks. The new model is significantly more detailed, featuring fine openings for the speakers and USB-C port, and a slightly different camera module. The device is more rounded overall, though the corners are still a bit sharp. The Apple logo is extremely pale with a subtle matte finish.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max
Next up is the Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max, which comes in a glossy red shade called “Rose Crimson,” as well as light blue, white, and space black. Apple releases a new hero color every year, instantly recognizing someone who owns the latest iPhone. This hero color could very well be “Rose Crimson” in 2026.
This year, however, there’s a twist. The Friday after the event is September 11th, and that’s the day pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra would normally begin. For obvious reasons – Apple is, after all, an American company – rumors are circulating that Apple is changing its plans and postponing pre-orders for the new iPhones to Saturday, September 12th. The pre-order time is also rumored to be changing: from the usual 5:00 AM US time to midnight.
This timeline is likely to apply to the Apple Watch Series 12 and all other products Apple announces on September 9th. However, several earlier reports indicate that the iPhone Ultra will be released later than the Pro and Pro Max models, even if it is unveiled simultaneously. Therefore, pre-orders might also begin later.
