Apple iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro: Major design leak with specs and launch date

Caviar, a provider of luxury smartphones, has just leaked all the information about their Apple iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro models.

It’s not unusual for Caviar to offer pre-orders for customized, unannounced hardware. But this time, even for the Russian company, their approach seems a bit daring. Caviar is already listing its own designs for the upcoming Apple iPhone Ultra and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. And Caviar is even revealing the date for Apple’s launch event: September 9th.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro

Admittedly, this date is a fairly plausible assumption, based on historical data and especially Apple’s practice of avoiding the day after Labor Day. But it gets even more interesting, because Caviar has set up separate pages for both the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max as well as for the iPhone Ultra, which allegedly contain insider information.

Most of this insider information is already known as rumor. For example, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch in a new color called Dark Cherry. The other official Apple colors are silver, gray, and light blue. Apparently, the display diagonals will remain unchanged this year – 6.9 inches and 6.3 inches. However, the Dynamic Island will be noticeably smaller, as Apple has managed to move some Face ID components under the display.

The site also mentions the already known 2nm Apple A20 Pro chip and a variable aperture for the main camera – another much-discussed leak. The next alleged change concerns the dedicated camera control button. On the iPhone 17, this button already features a touch surface, a pressure sensor, and haptic feedback.

Previously, a firm press activated a button underneath. Apparently, there will no longer be any physical activation required. The site also mentions that the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be “slightly thicker” and will house a 5100-5200 mAh battery. This information also aligns with current rumors. Therefore, Caviar likely either has genuine manufacturer information or is simply reusing leaks.

Apple iPhone Ultra

According to the website, the Apple iPhone Ultra will feature a robust titanium frame with a liquid metal (amorphous alloy) hinge. It is 4.9 mm thick when unfolded and approximately 9 mm thick when folded. Apple offers Deep Black and Pure White as color options.

The displays of the Apple iPhone Ultra will apparently both be equipped with 120 Hz and LTPO technology, which is a safe bet anyway, and will measure 7.8 inches internally in 4:3 format and 5.3 inches externally.

Furthermore, the Apple A20 Pro chip is mentioned, just like in the iPhone 18 Pro, along with 12 GB of RAM. However, unlike the iPhone 18 Pro’s product page, Caviar states here that the A20 Pro chip is manufactured using a 3 nm process. Most sources so far have indicated a 2 nm process.

The Apple iPhone Ultra cameras will apparently feature two 48MP sensors on the back, as most other sources have already confirmed. Interestingly, there will also be a 24MP selfie camera and, in addition, one integrated under the display. Previously, only an 18MP selfie camera had been mentioned.

The Apple iPhone Ultra is rumored to have a battery capacity of a whopping 5,800 mAh, whereas previous leaks only mentioned around 5,000 mAh. Unless Apple has recently switched to the new silicon-carbon technology, 5,000 mAh sounds much more realistic.

On the one hand, the listings seem like a collection of previous leaks and rumors surrounding the new Apple smartphones. On the other hand, Caviar is an official manufacturer of extremely expensive, customized devices. And even protective case and screen protector manufacturers receive advance technical data from Apple. Perhaps Caviar actually has some official information.
