According to various reports from sources such as Mark Gurman of Bloomberg and Filipe Espósito of Macworld, Apple plans to launch up to three new products with the new “Ultra” label between late 2026 and early 2027. The long-awaited foldable Apple iPhone Ultra is expected to be the first, followed by the first AirPods Ultra and the first MacBook Ultra.

Apple iPhone Ultra

The rumored features of the Apple iPhone Ultra include a 7.7-inch internal display, a 5.3-inch external display, dual rear cameras, a front-facing camera, a Touch ID power button instead of Face ID, and more. The large internal display is ideal for watching videos and multitasking.

The Apple iPhone Ultra is expected to launch in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. In the US, the device is expected to be priced between $1,999 and $2,499.

Apple AirPods Ultra

The Apple AirPods Ultra are rumored to be released this year – it would make sense if they were unveiled alongside the Apple iPhone Ultra in September. According to rumors, they are essentially AirPods Pro with tiny infrared cameras for Siri. Gurman’s report states that the cameras will enhance Visual Intelligence on the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. A small LED light on the earbuds will indicate when the cameras are active.

In iOS 27, Visual Intelligence is accessible via the Camera app using a new Siri mode. AirPods Ultra would allow for more comfortable, hands-free operation. “The idea is to give users the ability to ask questions about an object they are currently looking at,” he said. For example, if someone is looking at the ingredients on their kitchen counter, they could ask Siri for recipe ideas for dinner.

Last month, Apple’s code for the second developer beta of iOS 27 seemed to hint at AirPods with cameras, suggesting a market launch may be imminent.

Apple MacBook Ultra

Finally, there is also reportedly an Apple MacBook Ultra in the works with an OLED display that also serves as a touchscreen.

Other rumored features include the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a Dynamic Island, a thinner design compared to current MacBook Pro models, and possibly even an Apple-designed C2 modem for integrated 5G/LTE cellular connectivity.

According to Gurman, Apple plans to launch this new MacBook in early 2027. This means that, in total, an Apple iPhone Ultra, AirPods Ultra, and a MacBook Ultra can be expected within the next six to seven months.
