Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold Wide and Z Flip8 dummy models surface

It is widely expected that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Flip8 will be unveiled at the usual time this summer. Rumors also suggest that a third foldable smartphone with a wider aspect ratio, possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide or simply Z Fold Wide, will be released simultaneously. Apparently, dummy models have now surfaced online.

The well-known leaker Sonny Dickson has published images of dummy devices of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and Galaxy Z Fold Wide on Google X. The images highlight the design differences between Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones and show the devices in both folded and unfolded states.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 hardly changed
The Galaxy Z Fold8 appears to be virtually unchanged compared to the Galaxy Z Fold7 and matches previously leaked renderings. The same applies to the Galaxy Z Flip8, which also appeared in earlier leaks. Rumors suggest the Z Fold 8 will be slightly thicker and may feature a smaller cutout for the front camera in the outer display.

The Galaxy Z Fold Wide is shorter and slightly wider than the standard Z Fold8. According to a recent leak, it measures 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.3 mm when unfolded and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm when folded.

The Z Fold Wide is also expected to offer a 4.7:3 aspect ratio for the external display, while the internal display is expected to have a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The leaked images also suggest that the upcoming Samsung foldables could support magnetic wireless charging.
