A source, allegedly in contact with supply chain insiders, today revealed the color options for the Apple iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the new Apple iPhone Fold.

According to the source obtained by Macworld there will be four color options for the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with the following Pantone codes reportedly being used internally:

  • Light blue (Pantone 2121), similar to the Mist Blue of the current iPhone 17
  • Dark Cherry (Pantone 6076), the new main color
  • Dark gray (Pantone 426C)
  • Silver (Pantone 427C), similar to the current generation

The source points out that all four colors are still under development and changes are possible, as the Apple iPhone 18 Pro has not yet entered mass production. Apple also doesn’t always offer the Pro line in four colors, so one of these colors could be dropped before the launch. Last year, both Macworld and the leaker Sonny Dickson reported that Apple considered black and steel grey for the iPhone 17 Pro, but neither color was released.

Apple iPhone Fold available in only two colors

The first Apple iPhone Fold, which is rumored to be called iPhone Ultra, will allegedly be available in fewer color options than the Pro models and will not offer any striking or vibrant colors. According to the source, Apple is working on a classic silver-white model as well as an indigo variant, similar to the deep blue of the iPhone 17 Pro.

The same source confirms earlier leaks regarding the design of the first foldable iPhone. According to this source, the device will feature two rear cameras, a selfie camera in the external display and a second selfie camera located in the upper left corner of the inner display. When unfolded, its shape resembles the iPad mini. The foldable smartphone is reportedly only 4.7 millimeters thick when unfolded, making it significantly thinner than the 5.6 mm thin iPhone Air.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro with smaller Dynamic Island

Macworld also confirmed the rumors about a smaller Dynamic Island on the Apple iPhone 18 Pro. This would free up a little more screen space when Live Activities are not in use.

The schematic drawings also show, in at least one illustration, a slightly smaller distance between the glass cutout on the back and the camera bump. However, the source could not confirm whether this represents a final design change.

A Weibo user named Instant Digital previously reported that Apple would introduce a new manufacturing process to minimize the color difference between the glass and aluminum frames. Furthermore, according to a leak from yesterday, production of the first devices with a variable aperture has started.

The Apple iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Fold are expected to be unveiled in September 2026, although some analysts anticipate a later launch for the foldable model. Rumors suggest the iPhone 18, the iPhone 18e and the iPhone Air 2 to follow in the first half of 2027.
