Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: These are the price rumors

According to Jeff Pu, stock analyst at the investment firm GF Securities, Apple aims to have the same starting prices for the upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models as for their predecessors iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In a research note published by MacRumors, Pu explained that his company’s recent “supply chain analyses” indicate that Apple is focusing on “cost management” to keep the starting prices of the Apple iPhone 18 Pro models either “unchanged” or at a “similar level” compared to the iPhone 17 Pro models.
In Germany and the USA, prices for the iPhone 17 Pro start at €1,299/US$1,099 and for the iPhone 17 Pro Max at €1,449/US$1,199.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro price is expected to remain constant
Pu believes, for example, that given the exploding prices of DRAM and NAND memory, Apple is negotiating with Samsung and SK Hynix to secure comparatively cheap contracts for memory chips. He also expects Apple to find ways to reduce the cost of some other core iPhone components, including the display and cameras.
Another analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, also said that Apple’s plan for the iPhone 18 Pro models is to “avoid price increases as much as possible.” He predicted that Apple would at least keep the entry-level prices “constant” compared to the iPhone 17 Pro models.
Apple is expected to release the iPhone 18 Pro models in September with two camera upgrades and a more powerful battery.
