Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max is set to become the new battery champion
According to a well-known Weibo leaker, the Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max will have a larger battery to continue delivering top-notch battery life. Citing supply chain information, the Weibo user Digital Chat Station stated that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will have a battery capacity of 5,100 to 5,200 mAh.
In combination with the efficiency improvements, however, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is also likely to be thicker to accommodate the larger battery. With a capacity of 5,088 mAh, the iPhone 17 Pro Max boasts the largest iPhone battery to date. Apple claims a battery life of up to 39 hours.
A recent test by CNET confirmed that Apple phones are industry leaders in terms of battery life. The iPhone 17 Pro Max proved to be the longest-lasting smartphone tested, and Apple took first place overall. Thanks to its larger battery and more efficient chip, the iPhone 18 Pro Max should easily offer over 40 hours of battery life.
Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that the first foldable iPhone, which is expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, will also provide class leading battery life. The Apple iPhone Fold’s battery could have a capacity of over 5,500 mAh, making it the most powerful battery of all iPhones and competing models.
Current Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max rumors
Although the market launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max is not expected for about seven months, numerous rumors about the devices are already circulating.
It was originally said that the iPhone 18 Pro models would have Face ID fully integrated under the display, with only the front camera in the upper left corner visible. However, recent rumors suggest that the devices will only have Face ID partially integrated under the display, leading to a smaller area for the Dynamic Island.

- The design is expected to remain the same, with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays and a “platform” for the three rear cameras.
