Apple iPhone 17, 17 Air and 17 Pro Cases show design
The Apple iPhone 17 series is about to launch – on Tuesday, September 9th. Accordingly, more and more rumors about the devices are surfacing at the last minute. Like today with two new leaks about protective cases.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Clear Case
The first leak comes from a tipster named Majin Bu, who shared alleged images of an Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max Clear Case.
The images show three alleged changes compared to Apple’s transparent iPhone 16 Pro Case:
- A cutout for a significantly larger camera bump on the back, which, as already mentioned, widely rumored, extends across the entire width of the device.
- A white, rounded, rectangular area around the MagSafe system instead of the previous circle with a line underneath.
- Compatibility with Apple’s rumored magnetic crossbody strap lanyard.
According to Majin Bu, Apple has also tested special “tinted” editions of the iPhone 17 Pro Clear Case, which may be released later.
Apple iPhone 17 Armor Case
Of course, the regular Apple iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Air will also be presented at the launch event. Well-known tipster Evan Blass unearthed the matching protective cases for these models. The cases are from the well-known brand Urban Armor Gear (UAG) and are, of course, also available for the Pro models. The new design of the camera modules on the iPhone 17 Air and the Pro models is clearly visible.
The iPhone 17 is expected to look very similar to the outgoing iPhone 16, while the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will feature a redesigned rear camera module. The cases show the cutouts for the action button and camera controls.
The iPhone 17 Air case shows the device with a single rear camera and a pill-shaped module reminiscent of the Pixel phones. The latest Apple phone also features camera controls and an action button.
The Apple event on September 9 is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. PT and will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park in Cupertino.
In addition to the new iPhone 17 Air and the rest of the iPhone 17 series, Apple will also unveil the stable versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26 will be released.
