Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: No battery update
According to yesterday’s latest rumor, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a giant camera island, but unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the battery. There were several rumors suggesting a capacity increase of at least 10% compared to the 5,000 mAh of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, up to 5,500 mAh. However, at least as many rumors dismissed a battery update, and they were apparently right.
According to a new certification from the Chinese Quality Certification Center, the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a nominal capacity of 4,855 mAh. This is identical to the battery of the S25 Ultra, whose typical capacity is stated at 5,000 mAh. This will not change, although many Chinese brands will likely equip their flagship smartphones with at least 7,000 mAh batteries next year.

The basis for these enormous leaps is the new silicon/carbon technology, which has recently been responsible for one record after another. But Samsung apparently wants nothing to do with that, at least not for now. This means the 5,000 mAh capacity remains the same, as it’s been etched in Korean stone for years.
The only bright spot in the S26 Ultra’s battery and charging area could be faster charging, which, according to rumors, will reach 60 watts in the new model . This would also be a first for Samsung, as 45 watts is the highest the Korean company has ever installed in a Galaxy smartphone.
